My sanctuary ~ my temple space✨🏛✨

In ancient traditions, the temple was an important part of society. It was a place to contemplate, align with a higher force, for centering, cleansing, and worship.

These traditions and practices are almost lost to western society, but you don’t need to go too far back in time where this was a part of our world✨📜✨

The Vikings worshiped the goddess Hel and had tremendous respect and reverence for Mother Nature and placed small and big alters and places for worship all over nature ✨🌲✨

The Celtics and Druids were people in ancient Britain and France who served a wide variety of roles ~ “philosophers, teachers, judges, the repository of communal wisdom about the natural world and the traditions of the people, and the mediators between humans and the gods🍃

Rituals that promote harmony, connection, and reverence for the natural world were a natural part of society and the culture. We lost that part of ourselves and also forgot the connection to our soul that is interconnected to everything else and everyone around us ~ thus cutting us out from life itself✨
